News: ARENA Invests in Advanced Battery Technology
The Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) has awarded nearly $4 million in funding to AnteoTech Ltd. This investment supports AnteoTech’s $11.1 million project aimed at commercialising its silicon anode technology for lithium-ion batteries. Designed to improve battery performance, this technology promises to lower storage costs and extend electric vehicle driving ranges, a crucial advancement for Australia’s transition to clean energy.

ARENA is expected to launch the $523 million Battery Breakthrough initiative, following a consultation process that recently closed in early October 2024.
